Snowball Fight! for Oddball Art Co.

It's time for a bit of mid-challenge inspiration over on the Oddball Art challenge blog.  And, if you missed the blog hop in honor of team mate Angie's birthday, you might want to hop along with that, and try to win the awesome prize!  It started yesterday.  You'll find the start of it on the Oddball Art blog here.

The current challenge theme is 'Layer it Up'.  We want to see lots of layers - paper, ribbon, die cuts -- how ever you interpret it.

I used image #263 on this card - Tia, the Ice Queen.  I colored Tia with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils on  Carta Bella Kraft paper.

I layered up the designer papers.  They are Echo Park -- Winter Park, 12x12 papers.  The snowflake die cut has been in my collection for quite some time, and I no longer remember who made it.

I hope you can join us at Oddball Art Challenge blog for our 'Layer it UP' challenge.  You have until Dec. 14 to enter.  LOTS of time!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
My Time to craft -- Let It Snow

PDE Linky Party -- ATG
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge -- Use die cuts or punches (die cut snowflake border)

Reindeer Crossing -- for DigiStamps4Joy

It's New Release Sunday at DigiStamps4Joy.  As always, there are some wonderful new releases they you really have to check out in the store!

I colored "It's Time" with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils, using green on the sled, present, and tag around his neck.  I'm entering this in The Pencil Case's 'G' is for green challenge.

Other ingredients on this card:
Die-namics stitched dies
Really Reasonable Ribbon
Close To My Heart designer paper and card stock
Canson Mi Tientes paper (what I used to color the image on)

Baby, Baby -- it's a blog hop!

I'm participating today in a blog hop for one of the design team members of the Oddball Art dt.  Ang just had her baby, and we're helping her celebrate!  The hop starts here at the Oddball Art Stamps blog, if you just happened upon my blog, and you should have come from Jenn's blog

Lizzy Love created a digi stamp just for this event.  It is available in her Etsy store. Here's the link!

On to my creation for the hop.  Congratulations, Ang!

I colored the digi image with Copic markers, then fussy cut it out.  The baby word shaped card is a cutting file from The Cutting Cafe. The baby papers, also digital, are found at Pixel Scrapper.  There's also a bit of Timeless Twine, tied in bows on here.

If you've been following the hop, and trying to solve the phrase, you need a letter from me.  That letter is 'e'.

Your next stop on the hop is the uber talented Lena

Have fun!!

Happiest Winter -- for The East Wind

It's Friday, which means there's a new release today at The East Wind.  Time after time, I get such joy from coloring Unky's images.  Her art is so GOOD!  It makes my coloring look so good, LOL.  Today's new release is 'Baby, it's Cold Outside.'

I colored 'Baby, it's Cold Outside' with Copic markers, then used a variety of Spellbinders dies to layer up the image and sentiment. The papers are from Fancy Pants.

Season's Greetings Shades of White -- for Polkadoodles

It's Friday, and it's time for some mid--challenge inspiration on the Polkadoodle's challenge blog.   This time, the theme is white, with one other color.   Hmm.  I thought long and hard about this one, and here's what I decided on...

I started with a Kraft base, then used white with shades of brown.  I just HAD to use these two beautiful deer.  They are so sweet, they speak to me.  It's deer hunting season right now here in NW WI, and while I know we have more deer in this state than people, I still don't like hunting season.  This card is my tribute to all the deer out there.  You can get the image individually here.  The whole Frosted Winter Octavia Collection Digital Download can be found here.  If you're more patient than me, and want the CD, that link is here. The shaped card design I used on this is also from Polkadoodles.  This is Elegant Card 2 SVG cutting file.  The sentiment is a freebie, found in the Polkadoodles store

The crinkle ribbon on this card is from 3 Girl JAM.  The banner die is from La La Land crafts.

I hope you join us this coming week in our white plus one challenge.  It was a challenge for me, but a fun one.  Then, join our Facebook group, Polkadoodles Crafting, for even more inspiration!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

A Bit of Altered Art -- for Julia Spiri

It's Thursday, and time for a new challenge at the Julia Spiri Challenge Blog.  Today, we start challenge #7, alter something.  I chose to alter a Kraft container, and used a delightful (aren't they all?) Julia Spiri image to do it.

I used "Girl with Hair Wrap" and colored her with Copic markers.  I used a Spellbinder die, cutting it out 3 times, to back the image with.  The Kraft container is covered with some Close To My Heart papers, matching the colors in my image.  The white lace, from Really Reasonable Ribbon, was inked on the edges with some Tim Holtz distress ink.

I plan to use this container for a birthday gift.  I'm thinking it will be perfect to hold some hair accessories.

I hope you find time to join us at the Julia Spiri challenge blog for our altered item challenge.  It will run for 2 weeks.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Warm Winter Wishes

I have a card to share today that I made for a couple challenges.  It uses this month's digi from the Gerda Steiner progressive challenge.  I also concentrated on the color green, so I could enter it in the Pencil Case 'G' is for Green challenge.  Here it is:

The digi is colored with Lyra Rembrandt  Polycolor pencils.   I did some experimenting on the fur, intentionally not blending it.  The sentiment is a new stamp from The Cutting Cafe.  LOVE the font on this, and the large size!

Other ingredients:
Spellbinders die
Really Reasonable Ribbon
Die-namics Stitched dies
Photo Play designer papers

Winter Birthday Wishes -- for Digi Choosday

It's Tuesday, which also means it's time for a new challenge at Digi Choosday.  The theme, for the next 2 weeks, is Winter Birthday.

Polka Doodles has so many wonderful Winter/Christmas collections that can be used for this theme.  I used one of the design sheets from the Octavia Frosted Winter Collection to create this card. It's available both in Digital Download (instant gratification) or CD.   I fussy cut lots of layers, then used 3D foam tape in-between.  The sentiment is one of the many freebies in the Polkadoodles store.  Have you snagged them yet?

Speaking of Polkadoodles and Digi Choosday, don't forget to take advantage of the Digi Choosday discount code, good for 24 hours, on ANY downloads in the Polkadoodles store.  Woohoo!

Harvest Time -- for Crafty Sentiments

It's time for some new releases at Crafty Sentiments Designs.  The theme of this set of releases is Occupations.  The sweet rubber stamp that I was given to work with is a gardener.  She's working hard!

This busy gardener was colored with Copic markers.  The card base was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo.  I used 2 different ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon and layered them.  The designer papers and sentiment sticker are from Echo Park.

To see the other new releases, and to see what the other members of the talented design team have done with this rubber stamp, visit the Crafty Sentiments Inspirations blog.  The new releases will be available in the shop beginning Nov. 23.

Dreaming of Christmas Joy -- for Lacy Sunshine

It's Sunday, and we're starting a new challenge today on the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog.  The theme for the next 2 weeks will be "Sweet Dreams of Christmas".  We want to see moons, stars, napping blankets, etc on your projects, and make it Christmas!

This sweet girl, praying for Christmas joy for one and all, is Melanie Boo's- The Christmas Star.   I colored Melanie Boo with Copic markers.  I created the card using my Silhouette Cameo.  I started with a nesting star cutting file, did a little welding to get the card base, then layered the stars from there.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.

There are always new digis showing up in the Lacy Sunshine Store, so check often.  To find out about specials and discount codes, join the Lacy Sunshine Color N Craft Facebook Community.  You'll also find great inspiration, conversation, and friendship there.

Be Thankful -- for 3 Girl JAM

I'm posting today for 3 Girl JAM.   Each year, at Thanksgiving, we exchange gifts with my husband's family.  Usually I make Christmas ornaments.  This year, I decided to make thankful boxes instead...

This box is 4x4x2, and will hold chocolate, nuts, socks, or a gift card perfectly.  I cut the box out on my Silhouette Cameo, wrapped some twine around it, and finished it off with a pretty bow of 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon.   This ribbon is Charcoal, from the Rustic Country Bundle

Don't forget about the 3 Girl JAM "We Love Our Fans" Blog hop this weekend!  It starts on Saturday.  There'll be prizes and great inspiration!

If you'd like to buy some 3 Girl JAM supplies of your own, please use discount code JO10 for 10% off of anything in the store!

Don't forget about the 3 Girl JAM Anything Goes with Ribbon challenge going on the rest of the month.

Let the Wind Take You Away -- Whimsy Stamp New Release

Lizzy Love (Oddball Art Company artist) had a new release last week at Whimsy Stamps.  If you like working with real rubber instead of digital stamps, Whimsy Stamps is the store for you!

I had a chance to design with one of the new releases, Whisper in Love.  It made me think of late Autumn...

I colored Whisper in Love with Copic markers, then used a Spellbinders die to cut it out.

The leaf-shaped card is a cutting file from The Cutting Cafe.   Papers and ribbon are from my stash.

Check out all of Lizzy Love's stamps at Whimsy Stamps.  She has some great new releases this month, and wonderful stamps already in the store!

I used Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils to color Oddella Heart, then used a Spellbinders die to cut her out.  The heart shaped trio card is an SVG file from The Cutting Cafe.

Christmas Thank You Card -- for Path of Positivity

It's time for some mid-month inspiration, and a bit of a reminder of our theme at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.   Our theme this month is Gratefulness.

I'm grateful for many things, including all the wonderful people that remember my husband and I with gifts year after year at Christmas time.  I'm trying to prepare some Christmas thank you cards ahead of time.  I made one of those for this challenge.

One of our sponsors this month is Kitten Scraps.  Most everything on this card is from a Kitten Scraps Kit, Winter Playground Bundle.

The card was created digitally.  I started with a journaling card.  It had the 'Let it Snow" and branch on it.  I add the penguin with snow shovel image and the snow flakes to the journaling card, then printed it and fussy cut it.  I found 2 papers from the many, many beautiful ones in the Winter Playground kit to choose from that I thought would blend and contrast with the tag.  I printed these, and mounted it all on a piece of card stock.  The card stock, bling, and glitter trim are from Close To My Heart.  Everything else you see is from the Winter Playground Kit.  There are many, many options!

I am grateful to Kitten Scraps for her generosity to the Path of Positivity Challenge blog.  She is a wonderful sponsor!

Come join our Gratitude challenge at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  You have the rest of the month to join in!

Showers of Blessing -- GD at Crafty Boots

I'm guest designing today for Crafty Boots Challenge blog.  I recently placed top 3 in one of their challenges, and was given the opportunity to guest design today.  The theme for another week is 'Remembrance &/or Thanksgiving'.  I am thankful for this opportunity to guest design!

This card uses an image from Lacy Sunshine. She's called Emily Windy Day.   I colored Emily with Copic markers, then used a file from the Silhouette Design Store to create the Card.  Papers  are from Echo Park -- the Story of Fall 12x12 Collection.  The stickers are from the same collection.  The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with a die from Paper Wishes.

I hope you can check out the Crafty Boots Challenge blog.  There's a lovely tribute there for Remembrance Day.  Then, join the Remembrance/Thanksgiving challenge.  You have a whole week!

The Season to Sparkle -- for 12 Months of Christmas

It's the 15th of the month, so it's time for a bit of mid-month inspiration at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  This month, our theme is 'Sparkle, Sparkle, Everywhere.'

Speaking of sparkle, our sponsor this month is Sparkle N Sprinkle. I used the digital stamp set, Season's Greetings.  The stamp set comes with many sentiments and the ornament.  The sparkle papers are also digital.  They are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  Aren't they fun?

The card design is an SVG file, found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The only other things added to this card -- card stock and foil tape -- both from Close To My Heart

Sparkle and Christmas go hand-in-hand, so this should be an easy one!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Awesome Raccoons(?) for Oddball Art Stamps

It's Nov 15th, which means there are new releases in the Etsy Shop for Oddball Art Stamp Company.  I have 3 cards, 3 releases to share with you today.  I've been busy being an Oddball!

First, image #265 - DeeDee:

And, a similar image, #266 -- CeeCee

Both these images have been colored with Copic markers.  Papers, stamps and shimmer trim are from Close To My Heart.

Both these stamps come layered, or you can separate them out.  I only used some of the layers available in both sets.

The third release is totally different.  This is img#264:

This little sweetie and her raccoon were both colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment is part of the stamp set.

I used Spellbinders and Sizzix dies to make this center step card.  The papers are Echo Park Life is Good 12x12.  There's also some Timeless Twine on here.

So Fun! for Oddball Stamps Challenge Blog

It's the 15th of the month (already?)  so it's time for a new challenge at Oddball Stamps Challenge Blog.   The challenge is a month long, and this month's theme is "lots of layers."  Layer up the paper, ribbon, embellishments -- however you want to interpret it.

I used image #138 for my 'Lots of Layers' project.  I colored the fun snowman digi with Copic markers, working on my white color combos and shading. White is a hard color to color, isn't it?!?

I used a Spellbinders die to cut out image #138.  The card itself was constructed using my Silhouette and a card file found in the Silhouette Design Store.  I layered up papers from the Echo Park Winter Park 12x12 collection.  I also layered on the ribbon.  There are 2 layers of ribbon -- both from Really Reasonable Ribbon.   The 'so fun' sentiment is a sticker that came with the Echo Park papers.

Do you love Oddball Art Stamps like I do?  Here's a discount code for you to use:  DTJULIE10.  Use this for 10% off of anything in the Etsy shop.  Anything!

Sharing Autumn -- for The East Wind

It's Friday, one of 2 New Release days every week at The East Wind.   Today's new release is Aurora - Sharing Autumn.

I colored Aurora 'Sharing Autumn' with Copic markers.  I went with a monochromatic color scheme.  When I look out my window, everything is shades of brown now, just like this card.

I used lots of dies on this -- squirrels and acorns by Impression Obsession, circle dies by Lifestyle Crafts, 'Autumn' sentiment by Echo Park, side step card by Sizzix.  There's also a bit of Timeless Twine on this.

You're Awesome - for Julia Spiri Challenges

It's Thursday, and already time for another challenge at the Julia Spiri Challenge blog.  These weeks fly by!  The new challenge theme, starting today, is an easy one -- add a sentiment.  See?  Easy peasy!

This card was created using the totally awesome Julia Spiri image, Forest Hairdressing. I colored the digi stamp with Copic markers.  The card was created using a Spellbinders die in several sizes.  The sentiment is a stamp by Close To My Heart.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.  The stick pin is from Prima Marketing.

There are so many details in this Forest Hairdressing digi that I find irresistible.  I love the concept of this cute gal sitting under that flower to dry her hair, the squirrel perched with the mirror, and the butterfly with the nail polish. It's all too cute!

Come join us at the Julia Spiri Challenge blog.  You have 2 weeks to enter the "add a sentiment" challenge.  You can do it!

Celebrate! for Lacy Sunshine

It's time for a new challenge!  It's starts today on the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog.  Did you use a Lacy Sunshine image in the last challenge?  You'll get another great one for free for this challenge.  Do you wish you would have used a Lacy Sunshine image so you can keep playing along?  The digi is offered at an incredibly discounted price to get you started.

The challenge for the next two weeks is a Tic Tac Toe challenge.  Follow the board across, down, or diagonally.

This card uses Cherry Bomb -- Happy Hour Pin Up.  She's colored with Copic markers.
I followed the chart across the top row -- hand colored image, die cuts (I used a Spellbinders die to cut out Cherry Bomb), use a digi.  I also followed the chart using the middle row vertically (die cuts, sparkle, sentiment).  Last, I followed the chart using the last vertical row on the right -- use a digi, ribbon or lace, and pattern paper.

Oh, Deer! for DigiStamps4Joy

DigiStamps4Joy is proudly sponsoring Through the Craft Room Door this week. Some of the DigiStamps4Joy team members are providing some inspiration for the challenge and a blog hop.  Here's an extra card I made for this fun celebration!

I used DigiStamps4Joy image, Under the Mistletoe, and colored it with Copic markers.  I cut it out with a Die-versions die.  Designer papers are from Kaisercraft.  The card stock and Shimmer trim are from Close To My Heart.

I hope you can join the celebration, blog hop, AND challenge going on this week at Through the Craft Room Door.  It's sure to be a LOT of fun!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Pink Gem Challenges -- Christmas Critters
TTCRD challenge -- ATG
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge -- ATG as long as it's Christmas
